Philips Odyssee 2100

The Philips Odyssey 2100 was released in 1978 and uses the same design as the Odyssey 2001. The system is capable of playing 6 games with multiple variations. The games are programmed on a ROM inside the system.

  1. Wipe-Out (7 variants)
  2. Flipper (7 variants)
  3. Tennis (2 variants)
  4. Handball (2 variants)
  5. Ice Hockey (2 variants)
  6. Soccer (3 variants)
The magnavox company who first produced the Odyssey was bought by Philips in 1974 after which Philips could produce its own versions of the Odyssey consoles for the European market.

Interestingly enough, the first Magnavox Odyssey for Japan was produced by the Nintendo company. This was Nintendo's first foray into the consumer electronic game market.
